Metal blocks the router's signals. Don't put the router in a metal electrical box. Replace the door with plastic or put the router above the box. Keep other metal objects away from the router.
[Home Appliances]
Don't place appliances next to the router. Keep them farther away so they don't interfere with the signal.
[Router Placement]
Avoid putting the router in a corner. The signal has to go through more walls which weakens it. Place it in an open central area like the living room.
Also, don't leave the router on constantly. Restart it weekly to clear the cache and let the components rest. This will keep it working better.
